Cedar Fort, Utah sits between Mercer to its west, and Eagle Mountain to its east. Settled in 1852, Cedar Fort, Utah is rich in pioneer heritage, and is named after the fort that once occupied the area, the remains of which can still be found on Center Street in Cedar Fort.
Cedar Fort is a relatively small community, but is known for two celebrations each year in which locals and out-of-town guests enjoy alike. The Water Fight begins on July 23rd each year, and everyone in town participates. It began in the 1920s and is a tradition celebrated each year. There is also a Rodeo each year on the 24th of July.
There is also a two-room schoolhouse remaining in the town as a historic site, the only one in Utah County which is of interest to locals and historians alike. It was built in 1909, and remained in use for nearly half a decade.
